This man is tracking down every last copy of Carax s work in order to burn them. What begins as a case of literary curiosity turns into a race to find out the truth behind the life and death of Julian Carax and to save those he left behind. A page-turning exploration of obsession in literature and love, and the places that obsession can lead.

著者簡介

卡洛斯·魯依斯·薩豐（Carlos Ruiz Zafón）1964年生於巴塞羅那，原任職於廣告界，後赴美定居，目前在洛山磯從事電影編劇以及文學創作。1993年齣版小說處女作《白雪王子》，榮獲西班牙重要的「艾德彼兒童文學奬」肯定，接下來幾部作品如《午夜皇宮》《九月之光》和《瑪麗娜》等，都是極受好評的青少年小說。

背去Budapest和Munich的書，打發瞭大把的旅途時間。有些愛是一生的病。囉嗦。

終於聽完瞭，有一著沒一著的聽著，注意力集中的時候有發現幾處和中文版不同的地方。感覺英文版用詞情感更濃烈一下（當然也可能是聲音加持）中文翻譯很剋製，看得齣來很努力在通俗小說和文學作品之間拉拽，各有所長吧

西班牙人怎麼廢話這麼多！又長又狗血！強迫癥如我非要連著四個小時在極度難受的環境下看完。書裏那句話There are worse prisons than words. 嗬嗬。
