看完第一章就感动的泪流满面……童年的时候曾经看过这部自传的中文版，成年之后阅读原版，真的是感慨万千……篇幅虽然不长，但是作者的成长经历真的让人充满力量……残疾人的世界如此艰难，但是作者仍然做到了如此成就……最喜欢的女作者！！！
评分“I slip back many times, I fall, I stand still, I run against the edge of hidden obstacles, I lose my temper and find it again and keep it better. I trudge on, I gain a little, I feel encouraged, I get more eager and climb higher and begin to see the widening horizon. Every struggle is a victory.”
评分内容不是特别多，到她上大学就结束了。前面部分很有趣，从她小时候失聪开始，讲到她的学习经历，盲而聋的人学习语言真是需要无比的毅力和决心。她竟然还学会了四门外语，真是令人惊服。后面部分讲她和朋友交往的部分就有点没意思了。最后的信件往来听得我犯困了。8.3吧，还不错。
评分上帝拿走了部分禮物；卻絕不吝嗇贈你更多禮物。用心看得世界原來比起眼睛看到的；我不敢說更精彩，但卻是那麼不一樣。更真實。原來語言對盲人和聾人是如此珍貴。作為健全的人；竟對語言的魅力的理解如此膚淺。慚愧慚愧。應當更加珍惜健全的五官；並不去吝嗇書寫表達；這才是回應上帝饋贈與我們的禮物-語言。
