1. His poems are deeply autobiographical( e.g.: Maud Gonne) 2. Mythic poetry on Irish themes 3. Reactionary Modernist ,idealized past(aristocracy) 4. Occult symbols ( e.g. : gyre ) 总的来说，非常喜欢他。他也让我明白了，相对于其他的paltry things, 艺术才是真正不朽的东西。只有在艺术中才能让一个人得到永生，这点Shakespeare在他的sonnets 中，还有Keats在他的诗中已经说的很清楚了。
