像是意外撿到的寶石原來竟寫過這樣的作品發條鳥是我鍾愛的對超現實與大部頭的嘗試尋羊是村上路綫的確立同意某評論所講是一定階段的集大成作的觀點勇敢地對扁平化的現代都市進行描寫而又總能寫齣那般共鳴的孤獨這是瞭不起的

作為英文譯本, 它是直接的、簡單的，可能不復有原文或中譯的東方文學的晦澀、委婉距離。很喜歡書名，它廣闊、無限，讀完後卻要你nowhere to go。村上的書常常從後半部起會牢牢拴住你，從細流匯入海洋，集塵土為沙漠的總總孤獨終將你吞噬。“Shimamoto-san,”
