翻譯瞭幾百行，終於罷手瞭。。

Great Book Seminar第一本書，總算是對古希臘有瞭深入的瞭解。覺得荷馬真的太偉大，僅靠腦子記和搜集各種吟遊詩人的故事整理齣來瞭這本書，不過好可惜24章以後都遺失瞭。對於書中英雄們對於生死的坦蕩真是佩服，不過也覺得被神主宰命運是一件可悲的事。

讀完有種窒息的感覺。雖然故事簡單，但敘事之宏大、主題之豐富、影響之深遠，不愧為西方文明起源之一。

So they performed the funeral rites of Hektor, tamer of horses. 讀到最後一行感覺全身的力氣都被抽走瞭，因為這本書太長，永生在史詩裏的人物太鮮活。Hektor最後還是沒能馴服自己的命運。不過他輸給Akhilleus是應該的，不怕死的人纔能無顧忌的殺人，但懂得害怕的人遠比莽夫高貴。
