小說從頭到尾不貫通。大段的大段的流水帳加偶爾的精彩片段。作者在描寫男主人公不知不覺愛上女主人公時，除瞭“god, she's beatiful"沒彆的語言，多乏味，好像個呆子！和寫齣那麼熱情澎湃的信的形象完全不符。
