作者简介
戴维·迈尔斯自从获得爱荷华大学的博±学位之后，就在密歇根的霍普学院工作，成为那里的John Dirk Werkman心理学教授，并且开设了多门社会心理学的课程。霍普学院的学生邀请他在毕业典礼上发言并评选他为“最杰出的教授”。

看完Coursera上的Social Psychology课程后找来这本书看的，600多页花了一个多月终于看完了，算是入了门。虽然是教材但是一点都不枯燥，里面的大量真实的例子、图表使得理论理解起来很容易。作者David好像对中国文化有不一般的兴趣啊，动不动引用点论语什么，连毛泽东选集都有真是醉了，只可惜书中很少提到中国以及其它非欧美国家的社会心理学研究（也许是这个学科在这些地区的确发展得不好）。看了这本书后的确对日常生活中遇到的很多事情有了更深的认识，很多内容也对我很启发，最主要的几个是outgroup homogeneity bias，attitudes follow behavior，stereotype threat。
