Watkins' Overseas Tour is a fun read, another romp through suburbia with Freddie Watkins and his motley cricket team, only this time, off the field. Whatever can go wrong does. The reader is led along, anticipating the failure of every one of Watkins' plans for his team's money-raising effort to support its tour to Jamaica. We also get to see more of hard-working Gina, Freddie's wife, and her special talents in organizing the fund-raiser dance.
