作者簡介
劉靖之，畢業於英國倫敦大學，後獲香港大學哲學碩士和博士學位。早年赴英國皇傢音樂學院及聖三一音樂學院攻讀，獲理論作麯文憑。曾任英國廣播公司高級翻譯、香港嶺南大學翻譯係教授；現為香港大學亞洲研究中心名譽研究員、上海音樂學院音樂教育係客座教授。研究範圍涵蓋音樂、文學和翻譯，著作包括《關漢卿三國故事雜劇研究》、《元人水滸雜劇研究》、《神似與形似–劉靖之論翻譯》等。

评分難得看見寫的那麼好的音樂史，不過麯例分析上略薄弱一點。
评分就人品有問題，新音樂限製在學院派裏，沒有新音樂和前衛音樂，就爛。
