盡管是一部可讀性很強非常精彩的非虛構作品，可還是拖拖拉拉地讀瞭八百年！照作者原話說在某種意義上，這本書是關於 the sexual revolution of the 1960s and 1970s; the men and women who personified that revolution。美國人總是想要在兩方麵得到平衡，一方麵是基督教義，一方麵是個人自由。作為讀者，令我羨慕感慨的是美國censorship 的變遷，它隨著時代理念的變遷而調整，無不透露著相對的民主，看到律師和齣版人在法庭上和法官據理力爭的章節就非常爽，自下而上的變革！它不是冥頑不靈的以某個權威的虛僞做作的想法一成不變！ 蓋伊·特立斯對他的調研對象一視同仁並且有能力取得被調研對象的信任。很厲害的非虛構作傢。
