自己以前真的是完全沒看懂這本書，。中國社會走嚮個體化是一個國傢推動、全球化還有個人的 agency 相互成就的結果；而“個體化”後的中國個體既有類似西方強調“自我”的一麵，也有非常消費主義的一麵；但是對 public life 的關注和他人權利的尊重都相對匱乏（我覺得社會製度也得負很大的責任啊）。

好書，思路一貫，很有啓發，但用西歐作為比照其實有點兒關公戰秦瓊的意味。

感到自己要看的東西還很多，Giddens的“detraditionalization”和Beck的“disembedment”，Bauman“強迫的和義務的自主”和“通過從眾來創造自己的生活”都在訴說西歐個體從原先社會範疇脫離齣來，通過各種機製和製度重塑自我，而中國的特彆在於，個體從集體化脫嵌看似走嚮自由，卻缺乏一套社會製度來支撐。最後兩章消費主義和麥當勞的社會空間是我的甜點????
