著者简介

Bryan Burrough is a reporter for the Wall Street Journal in New York. In 1987 he won the John Hancock Award for Excellence in Business and Financial Journalism. John Helyar worked for the Wall Street Journal for nine years. He is now a senior editor of Southpoint, a business magazine based in Atlanta, Georgia.

第一波士顿从始至终是跑龙套的，但却由此起死回生。没有搞懂KKR最后出价的道理。

1/5 ross Johnson从Canada到reynoalds的掌舵人的过程就是一部文字版的survivor～4/5一路上反转又反转，看到一些评论说细枝末节太多，但其实呼应做的挺好，每个角色都有推进的作用，就像一部历史剧。100%读完最后一个词时洗脚水都凉了，很有格局的一本书，就像之前感觉的更像历史书，后语里关于烟草行业的衰败史，虽然蜻蜓点水，但也很有洞察力，反正很推荐

12年刚买这书的时候还是个无知大学生，对书里描绘的东西十分好奇；5年过去了最近读完的感觉是“太阳底下无新事”和“80年代美国投行纯advisor role啥都没干拿的fee竟然那么多”... 书里无关紧要的细节确实多了点，不然就5颗星了
