John Dewey was a 20th century philosopher, psychologist and education reformer. Dewey was one of the founders of the philosophical school of Pragmatism. He is also one of the founders of functional psychology and was a leading representative in the progressive movement in U.S. schooling during the first half of the 20th century. Moral Principles In Education contains Dewey's interpretation of consistent psychology, ethics, and sociology. Dewey empathized a concerned for the moral standing of American schools.
