《梦想的装扮:时尚与现代性》是一本关于服饰文化类图书。作者通过此书探究了人类通过时装或其他配饰进行自我修饰行为背后复杂的社会因素,分析了这些社会因素与现代性的关系。该书于1985年首次出版,被著名作家安吉拉•卡特誉为:“这是我读过的最好的时尚类图书,没有‘之一’。”,2013年的更新版,加入了对90年代和20世纪出的一些时尚现象的分析,如受乐队文化影响而出现的“垃圾风”,90年代兴起的波西米亚风格,等等。

伊丽莎白•威尔逊:英国北伦敦大学文化研究教授,著名女性主义与流行文化评论家。现执教于英国AA建筑学院,伦敦学院,伦敦大学金史密斯学院。著有《波西米亚:迷人的放逐》(2000),《都市中的斯芬克司》(1992),《黎明时分》(2006)等多部文化研究著作和小说。
【2022第10本书】这个评分是有失公允的,我严重怀疑读完觉得这本书很散是因为我缺少前期知识积累,所以对书中围绕主题的编年史没有实际的感受。读完对于时尚只有零散的印象(比如,时尚与反叛具有相关性,时尚与性有关),但又好像对每一个主题的因果论述的有力性不是很确信。只能说对我这种话没有任何时尚知识储备的读者并不友好,只能浮皮潦草地读个大概的、相关性的元素。
评分时尚就像摄影,两者都游走在艺术与非艺术之间,被工业化地生产,又深深烙刻着个性;两者都暧昧地悬置在过去与当下之间: 摄影凝固了此时此刻的灵魂, 时尚则将瞬间冻结为唯一存在的永恒姿态。
评分文化差异+翻译=不好读。每个分段尝试从不同角度阐述时尚值得思考和借鉴
评分选题的角度都是有意思的,但可惜作者太想写地面面具到反而没有主次,差点意思。以及这个翻译翻的也太差了?
