故事在the Pillar of the Earth之後。900多頁的書剛剛看到200頁不到，情節尚不可預知，陰謀尚未有綫索。但背景描述、情景設置、人物勾勒一如既往地讓人佩服。大傢！
评分作為the pillar of the earth的續篇實在是太讓人失望，情節的雷同，人物設定的雷同。在第一部中至少對人物性格及心理的刻畫感覺還是細緻入微的，這一本感覺極其錶麵化，作為貫穿始終的一個懸念的那封信，存在感實在微弱，即使最後懸念揭曉，也是那麼的平淡。這麼厚一本，我隻想說作者你是不是在拖字數啊。太失望。
