Alex Michaelides was born in Cyprus to a Greek-Cypriot father and English mother. He has a MA in English Literature from Cambridge University and a MFA in Screenwriting from the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. The Silent Patient is his first novel.

page turner.. but does NOT make sense - Theo knew fully well why she didn't talk from the beginning, 之后的上下求索是闲的？以及结局，完全不make sense. 无缘无故地去杀人，再一次，闲的？铺垫4/5本书还以为是什么了不起的惊天秘密

BOTM拿到的先发版，一个周末就读完了。psychological thriller读得不多，这本给我了一种第一次读and then there were none的感觉。有些地方还是会很强烈的感受到是作者写的第一本小说，但是整体真的是很赞

如果喜欢看thriller，最后这个twist其实并不难猜。而且尽管作者有努力去justify，但人物动机还是完全不make sense。

国庆期间，一天半把这本书看完了，做晚看到夜里2点。作者很聪明，最开始给你铺了一个很大的谜团，Gabriel被枪杀了，Alicia从此不开口了，没人知道那晚发生了什么。作为读者的我就一步一步跟随着作者去找寻答案。既然我已经开始了，我就需要知道答案。这大概就是人类的好奇心吧...
