探究了民族主义发展的由来 分析了何为民族的定义及不同历史时期和不同学说流派对于这个定义的型塑过程 文章里有许多篇幅都涉及到语言、文化、生物学人种学说和现代宗教对于民族认同形成的促进和捏合作用 语言还是比较流畅和易懂的入门级书籍 是希望理性了解这一学科的读者的理想读物
评分文题不符，主要是探讨民族的定义和形成，根本没谈民族主义理念的问题.....作者能够援引东西方各国历史证据让人印象深刻，好像都还挺准确的。强调“前现代”也有民族共同体，我觉得没啥道理。。。
评分VSI里面中等偏下的一本。无论是formation还是静态的description都是在讨论nation，而对nationalism的刻画显得有些粗糙……概念梳理还算可以，史学考察却欠精细，看短评说作者是研究宗教的，不过没怎么看出来【大概我对近代宗教研究不熟吧】。中译没怎么看。
评分萌新看了觉得跑题了 但是收获还是很多
评分極清楚的問題意識。不過作者研究宗教出身，側重宗教跟國族的關係，強調nation是傳統連結多於是現代的新現象，故此也沒太多說大眾媒體的影響。
