VSI里面中等偏下的一本。无论是formation还是静态的description都是在讨论nation，而对nationalism的刻画显得有些粗糙……概念梳理还算可以，史学考察却欠精细，看短评说作者是研究宗教的，不过没怎么看出来【大概我对近代宗教研究不熟吧】。中译没怎么看。
