评分作者自詡這本書可以看做是對《詞與物》17CE一章圖像方麵的一次補充。總體架構依然是與意大利文藝復興之間的對立，也許有過分generalization的地方。談地圖及lenses與繪畫之間的關係兩章最有啓發。
