著者簡介

（美）沃爾特·默奇（Walter Murch），新好萊塢運動中最為知名的音響設計師和剪輯師之一，科波拉成立的美洲西洋鏡電影公司的早期骨乾，多次獲得英國電影學院、美國電影學院大奬。他曾剪輯或擔任混錄工作的作品有《對話》、《美國風情畫》、《硃莉婭》、《現代啓示錄》、《教父2》、《教父3》、《布拉格之戀》、《人鬼情未瞭》、《剋魯伯》、《英國病人》（默奇憑藉此片同時獲得第69屆奧斯卡最佳剪輯與最佳音響設計奬）、《天纔雷普利》、《鍋蓋頭》、《沒有青春的青春》等，曾參與修復、重剪奧遜·威爾斯的《曆劫佳人》。

譯者夏彤，畢業於北京大學，從事過地震監測、機器翻譯、廣告創意、國際文化交流等多項工作，自加拿大艾米利•卡爾藝術大學（Emily Carr University）電影係畢業後，作品多次參加國際電影節並獲大奬。2007年應邀在中央美術學院電影係任教至今。
