(I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings)》。
Over the last two weeks, I spent one hour or so every night reading Maya's story with laughters and tears. When it occurred to me that she had no choice but to experience "it" by Mr. Freeman, I almost cried out. Much to my comfort, reading helps the author get cured. It's also wonderful that we have read the same book, The Well of Loneliness.
评分I have read this book twice in my teenage years, and it used to strike me as a narration of life with ups and downs of a black lady in a fluctuating time. Now I tend to focus more on how she feels, which is surprisingly relatable. I disagree with people saying there is something not good enough about this. It's her life. She didn't get to change it
