厕所书籍，写作必备。
评分This is another writing prescription and the first (cardinal) rule is, quoting Orwell, "break any of these rules sooner than say anything outright barbarous." Scattered with witty, sarcastic remarks, McCloskey accomplished writing another EoS. Those prescriptions are to be learnt first. Aha, I broke three rules! Last, read G. Pullum's words on EoS.
评分短小精悍。The element of style是一本面向大众的写作指南，而McCloskey的这本更有针对性，适合社科研究者参考。
评分易读有趣的一本小书。有一些有用的建议。
评分谁能知道写作还有这么多小九九。不过我也不知道现在写论文越来越自由（或者说不规范），真不知道这套还适用不。这书还写的挺好的，嘴炮狂魔一样
