Hegel嘗試寫一個全球藝術史，但因他的Eurocentric思想而失敗。老師提到Hegel的名言“The owls of Minerva fly only at dusk”點出了Hegel為何在此時決定要思考art，因為在藝術的成熟時期我們才可能回顧並理性地去分析它。Hegel提出的藝術的三種形式(/三階段)雖然非常歐洲中心觀，或者說非常以基督教徒的視角，但是卻開始關注具體的藝術，並且嘗試去解釋藝術形式的變化，還大膽地預言藝術的出路終將走向終結。

非常historical，非常hierarchical，没有想象中那么Euro-centric，延续了康德的free play of imagination and understanding的想法，但是傲骄地鄙视了一下他提出的the beautiful of nature与sublimity。在Romantic art之后会是什么呢？Greenberg提出的理念－更加去物质、更加注重Idea的conceptual art倒是答案之一，不过这就是艺术史的最后结局了咩？其实我想说的是今天烤了猫咪饼干送给智慧与美貌兼备的教授，教授很开心的样子耶！
