一個年輕女學者齣的新書，延續瞭晚近一股把霍布斯“洛剋化”的努力。兩個基本工作：第一認為霍布斯對自然狀態下人性的描述不是必然的，而是一般化的；第二認為臣民保留的權利超齣瞭肉體幸存，因而有權反抗（由於在霍布斯這裏權利和義務是不對稱的，因而國傢沒有義務尊重這一權利）。前一條沒有文本依據，但勉強可以理解，後一條基本是扯。
