长久没有读完这么厚的一本书，可是却也不觉得疲乏，反而被作者笔下那个世上唯一的曼陀丽吸引着，即使是译本，那些景色还是美得让人窒息。满墙艳丽的石南花，静谧的幸福谷，栗子树下的午茶…… 其实我不懂为什么书名要叫做Rebecca，又为什么大家说Rebecca才是真正的主角。或许...

十几年前我就在师大图书馆见过中译本，叫《蝴蝶梦》，不知哪个鸳蝶派酸儒诌的译名。我以为是类似《茶花女》一类的交际花故事，完全没兴致看。后来见有人对比《简.爱》和这本书，看剧透似乎很有趣，才读了，果然还行。我不大喜欢简.爱，嫌她什么都要跟R找平，透着浓浓的自卑味儿。《Rebecca》里的女主又走另一个极端，太废物。开篇时她的胡思乱想还蛮可爱的（比如以为要去纽约前一晚脑补如何跟de Winter告别），但到Manderley之后变得又偏执又没用，结尾夫妻俩开夜车回家时，她表现得像智体双项低能。
