150多页的书，还是大字体，宽行距里面涉及到很多作者从自己对国家的感情出发，可以了解对于科研本质的探索精神也值得学习，作者提到了做研究，即使是仪器简陋也没关系，关键还是在于人本是，人才是有思想性，有创造力的本体，这一点对我启发很大。 Be simply， be forward!

这本书虽然是写给young investigator，我觉得在各个阶段的人都可以读。如果读者是beginner，最重要的就是要有足够的motivation，如果实在不够，那就按照书上的建议去做吧。因为此书经过这么多人的阅读和验证，还是有足够的指导意义。如果已经在某个研究领域徘徊过一段时间...

读完前两章我对作者的崇敬上升到一种拜大神的高度，作者对新人的苦恼和科学领域中裹足不前的种种人真是洞若观火，但后半本，尤其是倒数第三章，价值观输出太多，连研究者该与什么样的人结婚都给出了建议，不禁令人哑然。
