本教材是美國Pierre David教授20餘年從事“國際物流”教學的結晶，配閤大量的圖錶和實例，對國際物流中各個要素(國際閤同、國際貿易條款、國際運輸等)進行瞭詳盡的描述，已被美國多數商學院選為“國際物流”課程的教材。PierreDaVid教授與具有多年豐富海上運輸實踐經驗的RiChard Stewan教授聯手閤作，於2006年12月完成瞭對本教材的再版。新版教材中融入瞭Stewart教授在國際海運和國際保險中的實務經驗，並對第1版教材進行瞭大量的增補。
