巨富們如何發傢、如何保證現金流、如何用人、如何操縱資本、如何利用經濟危機或被危機影響，乘著有利於他們的製度的東風，作為商人的巨富們可以說絲毫不值得同情。政治精英與經濟精英的結閤在危機前後都如此相似，香港被視為具政治潛力、有望對東南亞發揮引領作用的視角很有意思，但十幾年過去再看作者對香港政治的期許似乎是太樂觀瞭。對東北亞模式及中國發展的看法仍有意義
