著者簡介

尼剋·霍恩比，英國當代著名作傢。生於1957年，畢業於劍橋大學，教過英語，做過記者，先以一部非小說《足球狂熱》聲譽鵲起，獲1992年英國圖書奬年度最佳體育類圖書，接著第一部小說《高保真》（或譯作《失戀排行榜》）又一炮走紅。這兩部作品，還有後來的《男孩·男人》都被改編成電影，廣受好評。1999年，尼剋·霍恩比獲得美國藝術與人文學院E.M.福斯特奬。2001年的小說《如何是好》入圍英國布剋奬，並被評為WH史密斯圖書奬年度最受讀者喜愛的小說。

看英劇和英國小說的感覺就是，things are always getting boring and depressing粗口最多的jess往往有些智慧的言論；Martin是個混蛋加傻逼；JJ是文青；Marureen是無聊大媽。很喜歡最後那句話，他們的生活是在好轉的，就像倫敦眼，肯定是在轉的，就算幅度不易覺察。
