因王小波推荐而读。《巴巴拉少校》讽刺意味浓烈，《英国佬的另一个岛》则悲愤、无奈意味更多，《华伦夫人的职业》感觉一般。

书中提到的困境完全都是划时代的，当然说来说去也无非是——穷好不好？要如何摆脱穷才是对的？玩世不恭地“错”难道就胜过满口道德的“对”？ 这类灵肉纠纷，以及不可避免的国家、时代、战争。然而之后统统都草草收场了。是小说家毕竟没法给一个答案，还是这些问题本来就是无解的？

重背精锋，人间凶器。

翻译很经典。唠叨略微多。萧伯纳的人物似乎经常在辩论，而且似乎代表了某种理论，涉及哲学似乎太多，特别是第二个故事。对世道讽刺多了，立场反而看不清。

一直奇怪，有这么多经典在那里放着，为什么还有那么多人恬不知耻的写一些无病呻吟的东西……请不要再给人类增添负担了，阿门。
