作者简介

Svetlana Boym was a writer and Professor of Slavic and Comparative Literature at Harvard. She is the author of Common Places: Mythologies of Everyday Life in Russia and Death in Quotation Marks: Cultural Myths of the Modern Poet, as well as of short stories, plays, and a novel.

Restorative nostalgia and reflective nostalgia. The former aims to construct a coherent story. This is helpful for stabilizing trauma and huge historical transitions. However, the latter orients to individual memory. The depictions are essentially scattered and have no intention to be arranged orderly. It's unstable but haunting.
