评分给予我太多惊叹的一本书，只有诗人才能写作的母亲的经验史，告诉我how personal is political。用自身对性爱和生育的体验挑战弗洛伊德式“inner”&“outer”对立的思维方式，对mother-son & mother-daughter relationship的新的理解可能，是给我印象最深的部分。全书的最后一句话是“This is where we have to begin”，确实是一个尚且模糊、但值得去走的方向，当然是否可能改变institutionalized motherhood & patriarchy，如何改变、又是另一回事了（特别是在生产技术那一块，作者都没能给出明确的例证；当产妇不再是完全被动和无知的身体，她的生命经验又会遭到怎样的管理？）
