this is a book which reminds me of the one i read this January "letters to my daughters" and it simply unveils again how miserable women in Afghanistan are. Being a civilized citizen, I felt very sad to know these stories.

An easy read and a good access to the culture I'd not been very much aware of.

很喜欢这本书，大概知道了阿富汗以及她的过去，不禁感叹，是什么原因让这个国家的人民一直经受磨难？苏联？圣战者组织？塔利班？还是米国？这个世界到底怎么了。。。这样一个普普通通的书商家庭简直就是阿富汗社会的缩影，融合了不同种族、语言、文化，什么时候还得再看一遍呀  

兩性人權發展至第三波，身為男人已經覺得女權膨漲威脅自身權益的今天很難避免負面情緒，讀到這幾本書，卻再次勾起感慨和同情。 　　〈傾城之戀〉因為拍過電影，成為張愛玲最負盛名的作品，與李安拍〈色．戒〉不同，周潤發版本的〈傾城之戀〉比較忠於原著，相較原著〈傾城之戀〉...  

如果不是之前读过<追风筝的人>，这个国度的很多事情可能我都很难想象。读过这本书之后，有点想回头再看一遍《追风筝的人》，以便自己能对这个国度更多一些认识。 对于异域，我们除了从地理课本上见过形状，还有多少了解？如果不是《贫民窟的百万富翁》，我们难以想象印度的底层...
