文体优雅，语气坚定、乐观，对前方或深处巨大的困难浑然不觉。说 sense-content 既非心灵的亦非物理的这一处理可谓狡黠。读者会注意到 Ayer 在 Quine 之前就提出在哲学讨论中要否弃 meaning 这种含糊的概念，那么是否还有比他更早的呢？

评分我为什么要硬着头皮看这种烂书呢……you don’t expect to write an original book when you repeatedly deal with conceivable objections. 用来了解逻辑实证主义的野心，本书算是不错的介绍，只不过它以傲慢态度推销的教义都是错的。我不喜欢一个哲学家用小写的「我们」替代大写的「我」。
