This volume is based on a year's seminar in which Dr. Lacan addressed a larger, less specialized audience than ever before, among whom he could not assume familiarity with his work. 1. 几个事例的分析（庄周梦蝶；着火的儿子；苏格拉底；玩球的孩子 etc.）和几张图表；2. 笛卡尔的上帝&苏格拉底（&安提戈涅&基督）：”the Other“；3. 拉康的das Ding和mediation并存，强调哪方面决定对他的评价，和黑格尔情况相近。拉康以后者反黑格尔，但齐泽克看到他们在前者上的类似。4. Drive (petit a/ uncanny)处于Desire和symbolic order之间的微妙位置，最不make sense的时候是真理呈现的时候，而它是危险的，要在transference当中把握好让它呈现的度。
