“ Even if he’s wrong, he is also the first person to be wrong.” His concept is indeed relatable and makes me reassess some of my previous “ melancholic” situations. For a long time I thought the reason why my love-hate relationship always end up with me hurting myself is cuz I’m a nice person and don’t wanna hurt another, but perhaps it’s sadism

文章辨析瞭mourning和melancholia("pathological mourning")。兩者都由環境因素引起，都造成一定時間內對正常生活的偏離。差異在於mourning中libido從原attachments中抽離並附著於新object，而melancholia中libido抽離後一部分附著於ego，患者在放棄原object時並未放棄love relation，並將object-love轉化成narcissistic identification，另一部分作為hate towards the substitutive object造成自殺傾嚮。Regression to narcissism似是ego的勝利（主體試圖收編客體），實為object的凱鏇（主體客體化）。
