其實福柯在具體錶達的時候，這個英文版的在句式排比，節奏，以及舉例上都很好。要比中文版好讀的太多瞭。

Foucault在此書中劃清瞭和structuralism, formalism, interpretation等的界綫。我在讀的時候反反復復糾結於discursive這個概念。對discursive formation的研究就是Foucault在性史，規訓與懲罰等書裏做的事情嗎？那麼此書應該福柯對自己的方法論的討論。

個人開設的研究生課程必讀文獻。知識考古學／知識的考掘：本義就是研究檔案的學問，對曆史重大遺跡（檔案）作本質的描述。曆史論述的沉積層（看似連續的長時段曆史下麵隱藏著靜止和沉默的巨大基底）；曆史學傢的工作就在於在曆史範疇中辨彆各種不同的沉積層（知識型：話語實踐如何産生知識／真理）。從政治的多變性到“物質文明”特有的緩慢性，分析的層次變得多種多樣：每一個層次都有自己獨特的斷裂，每一個層次都蘊含著自己特有的分割；人們越是接近最深的層次，斷裂也就隨之越來越大。然而，知識考古學中所使用的檔案，已經不是單純意義上的“文檔”（document），而成為一種曆史事件的見證，作為“紀念碑”（monument）而呈現齣來。要注意這裏麵從document到monument的話語處理手法。
