著者簡介

Milton Friedman (July 31, 1912 – November 16, 2006) was an American economist, statistician, academic, and author who taught at the University of Chicago for more than three decades. He was a recipient of the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences. Among scholars, he is best known for his theoretical and empirical research, especially consumption analysis, monetary history and theory, and for his demonstration of the complexity of stabilization policy.

確實牛大發瞭。friedman無論是上電視還是寫文都非常有說服力，又通俗易懂。

refreshing. 在Podcast裏麵聽到Chicago Boys後找到的這本書。作為一個從小在一個大政府環境中長大的人，讀瞭這本書真是開瞭眼界，原來郵政、財政政策、營業許可、教育等等活動中政府的參與都是可以商榷的。書很多地方讀得不明覺厲，也不同意裏麵的很多觀點（考慮到公眾的愚蠢和資本傢的貪婪，很多想法在現實麵前真是不堪一擊），但受到瞭極大啓發，自由市場是很多問題的簡單、清晰的解決辦法。

Time and time again, government intervention often has an effect opposite of that intended. Most good things in the United States and the world come from the free market, not the government, and they will continue to do so. The government, despite its good intentions, should stay out of areas where it does not need to be.
