评分国内少见的英文评注版的散文集，有经典文章，也有较新的篇目，重要的文段也有编者的指引，另外每篇文章后附有参考书目，少而精，实用性强；不足之处在于泛读材料的参考信息较少，课程实录视频不全，其他几位编者如能实录其他篇章的课程上传至网络供学习者参考，那真是功德无量了。
