著者簡介

Born in Haifa, Israel, David Deutsch was educated at Cambridge and Oxford universities. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society and a professor of physics at the University of Oxford, where he is a member of the Centre for Quantum Computation. His many honors include the Institute of Physics' Paul Dirac Prize and Medal. The author of The Fabric of Reality, he lives in England.

Blinkist掃過。可喜的是越來越多的人開始接觸和瞭解科學哲學，其中包括許多優秀的科學傢自己走齣專業的象牙塔開始創作更普世化的科普讀物，而且是從宏觀理論甚至形而上層麵而不是單一知識領域層麵來拓展和加深大眾對於科學甚至科學哲學的認知。Seek critical thought, conjecture and good explanations. Knowledge from experience&theories. Good ideas replicate. systems of knowledge jumps to universality. rational&democratic group decision making is impossible. optimist.

作者在量子力学上有一家之言（也仅仅是量子力学诠释的少数派），但一越界，基本上就是武断的自言自语了。在哲学上，作者倒是立场鲜明，但过于愤青了，除了波普尔，就没有他看得上的。有人说是鸡肋，我看基本上就是不值一提。
