具體描述
In a crowded courtroom in Mississippi, a jury returns a shocking verdict against a chemical company accused of dumping toxic waste into a small town’s water supply, causing the worst “cancer cluster” in history. The company appeals to the Mississippi Supreme Court, whose nine justices will one day either approve the verdict or reverse it.

The chemical company is owned by a Wall Street predator named Carl Trudeau, and Mr. Trudeau is convinced the Court is not friendly enough. With judicial elections looming, he decides to try to purchase himself a seat on the Court. The cost is a few million dollars, a drop in the bucket for a billionaire like Mr. Trudeau. Through an intricate web of conspiracy and deceit, his political operatives recruit a young, unsuspecting candidate. the suit 跟 deep drop diva看很有律政的赶脚，就拿来读一读。美国的选举也不过是有钱人的游戏啊。不过，最后的收尾感觉没讲明白。Ron是不是后面会改变呢？ 开始的时候也有同情baker的案子，但是到后面才明白，法官只是按照自己理想型来对待每一个个案子。

It took me 3 days to finish - quite a long work. The ending is very unexpected, departing from Grisham's usual happy-ending style. The grim look at the juridical system and how the politics work is quite depressing but deeply real. I've got to stay away from Grisham for a while though...
