不愧為中世紀三大epic poems之一，就算現在看迴去還是覺得精彩

精妙設計的故事，情節環環相連，中世紀的騎士社會和宗教文化相互衝擊。

關於Gawain的duality很有意思，一個是Christ一個是Adam的biblical reference。iconoclastic, 打破瞭我對medieval romance的認識，雖說adventure和courtly love的因素都在，但沒有romance會寫本身就是星星的人會嚮往gutter中的生活吧。讓人想起Baudelaire的l‘idéal.

這本書倒是異常有趣，第一部分讀起來很有無頭騎士異聞錄的感覺【說不定無頭騎士就是從這一部分中取材的】。這麼迴想起來，我倒是要感激英國文學課老是要求寫讀後感，不然按照我的性子，根本沒辦法抱著字典去看好幾個小時的這種長詩的。
