Thomas Cromwell is remaking himself, and a sovereign. He suffices the King's needs while destroying a disgusting church, plus the despicable, people-burning Thomas More. The plot is delicately simple, yet scenes are magically present. The author could have done readers a greater service by replacing 80% of the "he" with just simply "Cromwell".

英文有聲書。超級長，24個小時。書可能會給三顆半星，但是朗讀要給五顆星！開始聽的是大錶哥讀的那版，覺得怪怪的，後來發現是縮減版；後來找到Simon Slater的全版，覺得讀得真是好啊，口音和聲音都好好聽！而且讀的Cromwell和Ben Miles演的口音和語氣都很像。。。

英國人寫起人情世故也是細緻入微，幾處閑筆就能改變整個人的形象。文字有張力，故事也極精彩。
