Bruce Hayes is Professor of Linguistics at the University of California, Los Angeles. He has published extensively in books and journals, and is the author of Metrical Stress Theory: Principles and Case Studies (1995), and editor (with Robert Kirchner and Donca Steriade) of Phonetically-Based Phonology (2004). 评分Bruce Hayes出品，必属精品，还有什么要说的！以及UCLA的各位都喜欢在课本里开自己玩笑么……
评分作为一本教材，也是很腻害了。读了书里的例子，仿佛自己十几年来从没有学过英语。（2017年）
评分這本其實很好 比David Odden那本好 特別抓重點 Odden勝在習題
