著者簡介

馬剋·霍尼斯鮑姆（MARK HONIGSBAUM）

英國作傢、醫學史學者。現任英國城市大學（City University, London）講師，曾執教於倫敦瑪麗女王大學，主要研究方嚮為醫學史；也曾經擔任《觀察傢報》首席記者，並為《衛報》《星期日泰晤士報》等知名報刊供稿。1996年，他在BBC的調查報道入圍英國皇傢電視協會奬最佳實事紀錄片奬。

他著有多部醫學史作品，包括《人類大瘟疫：一個世紀以來的全球性流行病》《全球大流感史：死亡、恐慌和歇斯底裏，1830—1920》《熱病之旅：探尋治療瘧疾之路》《與恩紮一起生活：被遺忘的英國故事和1918年流感大流行》（2009年被提名為英國皇傢學會的年度科學圖書）等。他的寫作兼具記者的敏銳觀察、作傢的戲劇衝突與學者的深邃洞見。
