What are the debates between science and religion really about? Politics, morality, as well as the control over the production and dissemination of knowledge.

大量敘述都是科學和宗教之間在曆史、政治、法律還有道德舞颱上的較勁。科學和宗教都是詮釋世界的的一個視角，隻是後來居上的科學詮釋得更好，但不代錶它就是真理。信教的把科學暫時無法解釋的現象歸結為神的作為（God in the gap=our ignorance rather than in our understanding）也是蠻蠢的。而達爾文和牛頓沒有把神（law giver）排除在自己理論外這種做法纔叫高明——說話要給自己留後路嘛。我最關心的領域在神經學和腦科學上（God helmet，宗教體驗、神經神學），可惜作者就蜻蜓點水掠過去瞭。也藉著僅有的一些關鍵詞找瞭一堆資料深究，這本書也算起到瞭很好的Introduction的效果。

但這本書就不太客觀瞭，從來悄悄站在科學的立場，開篇還引用andrew dickson white，陳述一直以來的衝突的時候也是偏科學

Overview 無聊炸瞭，扣星。結尾寫得很中庸啊哈哈哈哈。
