Tony Wright's Very Short Introduction to British Politics is an interpretative essay on the British political system, rather than merely an abbreviated textbook on how it currently works. Each chapter is organized around a key theme, such as the constitution or political accountability, which is first established and then explored with examples and illustrations. This in turn provides a perspective for a discussion of how the system is changing, looking in particular at devolution and Britain's place in Europe.

很不错的一本小册子，作者是英国工党资深议员，文笔轻松，结合政治趣事。他分析英国政治的特色，Britishness，对于自惭于中国特色的很多观点，有启发。
评分感觉是还不错的intro, 虽然有些观点重复的次数略多
评分语言精炼，易读（实例很多），虽带有政治倾向性，但作为英国政治入门书，非常满足。
