This second volume on this topic reflects on the progress in consumer psychology theory and research. It is based on papers presented in the 2nd Symposium on Consumer Psychology of Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure, held in Vienna, July 2000. The book focuses on consumer decision making for evaluating choice alternatives in tourism, leisure, and hospitality operations. It deals with problems such as coping with nonlinear utility functions, capturing highly emotional products attributes, incorporating noncompensatory decision rules, and accounting for unobserved heterogeneity in a consumer population.
