有不少批評的聲音，不過前麵的對文本的曆史背景的精細分析還是值得稱贊的。就我看來，作者似乎並不是真想做literary criticism，隻是希望用文學寫作的角度來看曆史傳統的建構，文學角度似乎隻是曆史建構的一部分。不該因為他沒能成功做好literary criticism就說這本書是失敗的。
