A more open migration policy would reduce global inequality even further.

Both American and Chinese inequality seems well entrenched and self-reproducing, though it is difficult to predict if current trends will be derailed by emerging plutocracy, populism, or war. 可以通过浏览本书所有的表格图案及描述了解全书观点的一本书。非常好读-同时也证明观点不是很新颖不需要人停下来思考。主要观点就是提出global inequality应该是between country 和within country的inequality加起来。一个比较有趣的概念是citizenship premium，虽然也不是一个新颖的思考方向了不过这个名字不错。把kuznets cycle进阶到wave也是个用词命名上的不错尝试，但也不算新的argument。总体来说就说了一些patterns和trends，我觉得挺commonsensical的，也挺west的（就是会被post-colonialists批评那种）所以看这本书看完图片就行了。

罗列事实和数据还行，分析一泡污。“Kuznet waves”这个说法有点意思，但也很空洞，其他部分很糟糕，Piketty有的毛病(除了啰嗦)它都有。尤其假装做政治经济学分析的时候，引的文献都什么玩意儿。谈到中国政治那里更是笑掉大牙了。
