和上一部《Mr. Mercedes》各有所長，多瞭一條綫索，以至於不像前一部那樣節奏緊緻、環環相扣，但高潮部分無比扣人心弦，就是前戲太長瞭。結尾埋瞭個超現實現象的伏筆，雖說老金寫硬漢偵探小說也很有看頭，不過要是能看到恐怖元素在該三部麯裏「藉屍還魂」，還是挺喜聞樂見的。

總算看完瞭，結尾雖然俗套還算扣人心弦。啃英文到最後完全被劇情吸引無所謂語言瞭，這纔是最佳狀態。當然他的文字也比較簡單。也許斯蒂芬金經常想象自己最狂熱的讀者應該怎樣，然後寫瞭這本小說。shit doesn't mean shit.
